The economic impact of COVID-19 on the city of Melbourne, Australia (where She Lion is located) has been estimated at more than 79K job losses $23B in economic downturn compared with 2019. It may take until at least 2024 for the city economy to return to its 2019 level. Similar effects have been felt across Australia and the world. Our Founder, Kate wanted to find a way to support local makers and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic and worked tirelessly to create a line of sustainable, locally sourced pieces. We are so proud to bring them to life and share the story of how our empowered slogan apparel came to be.
